Salzburg

Salzburg

Once in the hostel I had again a strong sense of being in south chile, in one of the summer camps, or one of my german friend's country houses... because the trees are so similar, even the air seems to smell just the same, I thought that was the reason why the germans decided to stay in Chile.

Despite an unexpected afternoon rain I went for a walk, and then slowly, as I made my way to the centre of the old town I started to understand Salzburg beauty... precisely in that neatness, in that paleness, and those painstakingly subtle ornament details.
After a few turns around the squares, after discovering music in every corner, and in the twilight, just before the lights of the city were on, I fancied Salzburg pure sophistication, and the most romantic city I have yet known.
